Brandon was born in Zachary, Louisiana on May 4th 1979. He lived there sixteen years and many of his best friends and close relatives still hang thier hat near the bayou. Bates says ” There is no place like the south, I have traveled all over the world and the south is still the king of hospitality”. Bates continues his admiration of Oklahoma but will always consider Louisiana his true home.

Now thirty years of age Bates owns property in the southeastern town of Atoka, Oklahoma and makes his permanent residence in Edmond, Oklahoma. “I’m not to fond of the city life but I have to use the airport twice a week now”. He keeps his plate full with the Professional Bullriders tour, it travels to more than thirty cities and will make stops in places such as Canada, Australia, and Brazil. For ten years Bates has been a permanent fixture in the world of western events. His voice has been heard at the Professional Bullriders World Finals in Las Vegas since 2003 and also at great western events like the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. He also enjoys doing voice work for numerous television and radio ads, his voice has even been heard on the popular television series CSI Las Vegas.

When there is any free time you can find him on the golf course where he resides in Edmond, Ok at Oak Tree CC. Bates is an avid golfer and really enjoys just “hanging out at home”. He is also an certified diver and has dove around the world in places such as Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, Belize and Mexico’s Barrier Reef

And one last thing…. Bates is the Ultimate LSU Fan!
